Like Clomidand Nolvadex, Cyclofenil is used in post-cycle-therapy to increase testosterone and prevent gynocomastia. Unfortunately, Cyclfenil is not as effective and requires higher doses and more frequent injections as its two counterparts that are less expensive and more available.

Cyclofenil: A Profile

Cyclofenil is a synthetic non-steroidal compound that functions primarily as a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). Initially developed and utilized for medical purposes, it has gained attention in both clinical and athletic circles for its ability to modulate estrogen activity and support hormonal balance.

Cyclofenil works by selectively binding to estrogen receptors, either stimulating or inhibiting estrogenic activity depending on the tissue type. In medical settings, it has been prescribed for treating infertility and hormonal imbalances in both men and women. For women, it can stimulate ovulation by reducing the negative feedback of estrogen on the hypothalamus-pituitary axis. In men, Cyclofenil has been used to address conditions like hypogonadism by increasing luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels, which in turn stimulate natural testosterone production.

In the performance-enhancing community, Cyclofenil is valued for its ability to mitigate estrogenic side effects, such as gynecomastia, that can result from anabolic steroid use. By blocking estrogen’s effects in certain tissues, it helps maintain a favorable hormonal balance and reduces water retention, supporting a leaner physique.

Cyclofenil is generally well-tolerated, but side effects can include mild headaches, fatigue, or changes in libido. It is considered less potent compared to other SERMs, such as tamoxifen or clomiphene, and its use has declined with the development of more effective alternatives.

Despite its reduced prevalence today, Cyclofenil remains a notable compound in the history of hormone modulation therapies.
